A Real Pain 2024
i felt like this film had so much it wanted to be and so much it was actively trying to be but tried to tackle such a massive topic like the holocaust in an hour and a half with half baked characters that you don't really go that far into. the most emotional scene was the shot inside the concentration camps, however i don't think there's much work that needs to be done from the production team to make any videography or commentary on the holocaust emotional and hard-hitting. overall just didn't like the characters and didn't like how the film tackled the topic.

very good for a film made by someone who doesnβt make films. i love mel and i wanna say itβs the best thing ever but itβs only okay on a movie scale. the plot is subpar and the script is also bleh and i cringe listening to the characters talk but itβs so pretty T-T
