(0:10) New Line Cinema acquired Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the crumbling Cannon Group in 1988/89 and are responsible for this third entry. I find it fascinating that New Line acquired Friday the 13th from Paramount shortly after in 1991, meaning at one time they had Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface under their roof!

I walked out of the theater towards end of second act (the movie is nearly 3hrs, so I wasn't being particularly impatient/overdramatic.)
No amount Bill Hader or flashbacks to the kids could make this worth sitting through for another hour, though—it’s just too f**king awful.
And for what it’s worth, I mostly enjoyed Chapter 1 and had genuine excitement going into Chapter 2.
