I'm not sure I've ever seen a narrative movie that wished it was a documentary more than "The Alto Knights."
The editing and voiceover drove me crazy, which is a shame because those weird choices distracted from some legitimately compelling drama and two fascinating Robert De Niro performances.
At least "The Alto Knights" made me realized I'd love to watch an actual documentary on Frank Costello and Vito Genovese. That's not nothing!
