This is definitely an anti western, it’s just too on the nose about it. Clint’s character going on about how he’s no longer a ruthless criminal and is now a changed man every 3 seconds gets really annoying, The dialogue feels forced and lacks subtlety and the writing is flat and uninteresting.. i definitely prefer Clint is an actor and got 0 love for him as a director, for now.

ima just say it, this is the best film ever made. instantly iconic and ridiculously ahead of its time. that soundtrack is borderline orgasmic and without it this wouldn’t be as great. Can’t believe it took an italian mf to make something this American and make it better than any American that ever lived
