The use of colour in this film is astoundingly beautiful. The camerawork likewise, evocative of 1950s cinema, looks absolutely spectacular in every gorgeous frame. Honestly though this would be terrible but it's actually interesting... if you can tell what the fuck is going on. The last 20 minutes feel a bit tacked-on and over-explanatory but also I get why they are there to bring out the themes of the narrative. But worth it for my boy Dylan and his big wet eyes

Jennifer Lawrence is so baby here but you can see exactly why she was tapped for The Hunger Games (I mean she's basically proto-Katniss but more grounded.)
