  Really unique, deeply affecting film. I wasn’t familiar with RaMell Ross previously, but reading he has a background in documentary makes a lot of sense. It was just really cool seeing a different kind of movie. Very impressionistic. At points I almost felt confused but didn’t quite reach that state or at least it wasn’t a negative experience because it really felt like unfolding or information was coming to me almost subconsciously and it was piecing itself together like a…

  Garry Marshall fixed the issues with this movie by basically remaking it 11 years later with Princess Diaries. Julia Roberts lives up to her legacy of charming and cute in every other rom com she’s in …except this one.

  Also my other thought is if they remade this Zendaya would def be Vivian. She has just enough edge to make this more believable.
