But beneath the thin facade played out for comedic effect, we catch a glimpse of his creative genius, borne by the compassion he feels for his best friend. A robot invented to alleviate the woes of gardening. A hastily designed contraption to wrestle them back from the slippery fins of Feathers McGraw. Gromit's trust in Wallace is not misplaced, and we would do well to share it.
