Honestly a really fantastic movie! Up until the epilogue. It could have ended there for me. 🤷 The movie is so ambiguous throughout and in its final moments doubts the audiences ability to make meaning out of it.
I did appreciate how the epilogue revealed that the building’s design was a representation of the concentration camps László and Erzsébet experienced. But I felt like that detail could have been worked into the narrative. We experience so much of the buildings…
