The fact this was based on the real life of a Lithuanian girl, Danguole Rasalaite its sickening. We "know" what happens in the deepest corners of the world but, we will never understand the pain those people go through. This was bleak, never wanted to smash the skull of so many men in a span of an hour and an half, i just imagine the ones that still go through this and will never see the light of day, completly depriving of their own being.

Masterpiece. My only problem is that sometimes characters could've been killed easily. Everything else felt really grounded, it showed how the Edo Period of Japan was bloody with a really strict social hierarchy, specially towards women. Given this strict social stratification the characters writing was truly impeccable, it felt as though they had to have strong motivations to develop their personalities and abandon their tradional values.
