    It got the job done. Torres very good, but I can’t escape the feeling that she was held back by the script’s restraint. Open this up even 10% more and you’d probably be looking at an all-timer performance. Dutiful, restrained, respectable, and wholly unremarkable.

    A movie that gives you Sorrentino’s takes on the Princess Leia ROJ bikini and Blood Meridian’s Judge Holden/2001 Star Baby, along with two perfect uses of Kilar’s “Exodus” (could’ve sworn it was at least 5 but nope 🤪). As stirring as it is deeply deeply silly.

    A mess, and not even a fascinating one. Just goes by in a blur with a bunch of half formed numbers that go nowhere. Bad performances all around, though Saldaña is closest to innocent. The ending is so many kinds of terrible. Not even a fun movie to rag on after a while because it’s just so boring. Well, aside from the Bangkok sequence, which deserves to become the stuff of infamy.
