Yeh you guessed it, I arrived in Tokyo and the first thing I craved was some juicy drifting energy. Filled with macho men, sex appeal, fast cars, Japanese sex appeal, and all things Japanese inspiration, all I can say is let’s fucking go, this movie has aged DAM WELL. Long live the fast series x

Shoutout to max and Sean my film bro educators at RMIT, I simply had to watch this on the eve f heading to Japan. It’s my first conscious foray into black and white films and it’s definitely going to take an adjustment but I’m immediately struck by how well this has stood the test of time. The rag tag band of samurais are imperfect and endearing because of it, yet the final battle scene shows death in its inglorious way with heroes being slain so disgracefully not akin to what’s portrayed in ww1 films.

Wow make me just want to go back to the quiet idyllic towns of northern Italy again.
I could never really get my head around this film, with the family that speaks German, french, Italian, English and are Jewish simultaneously.

Fresh off the back of Poor things, hot on the tail of Emma stone. What can I say, I love all the characters. They all have a place in the film, and the dialogue is so pristine and quippy in a way that is so unexpected given the 17th century setting. The characters are blunt, honest and raunchy.
