Lucky to find this film on TV again. On a rewatch, you understand even more why Michael Scott and Jake Peralta loved this movie to death hahaha

    Also, Alan Rickman beast

Aaaand there's my first 5-star film on Letterboxd. Pretty sure I had that coming.

Even if I tried, I COULD NOT find a single thing I disliked about Parasite. Maybe just one detail towards the end. But that wasn't enough to topple the greatness of the film. The things I liked about it, I REALLY liked. Wise comedy, the most excellent twists, top-notch cinematography, brilliant socio-political critique, and juuuuust a tad of wildness to spice up and not ruin a scenario that could definitely be real. Would definitely watch that again! (With other people hopefully ☹️)

Hello Letterboxd! First film log, here we go hahaha

From the synopsis alone, you can already tell the simple thesis and theme of the film, and it's pretty cool how from the simple idea of this "prison", they play off of so many possibilities. Such a grotesque allegory of social class as it is, and I appreciate the creativity and the hard-hitting "truths" in it.

Do any of us really know what the message is?

First silent film I've ever watched and wow, I was lucky enough to choose this one!

Incredible comedy and touching romance. The lack of speech was definitely not a barrier to feel the emotion Charlie Chaplin intends to arouse in you with this film. What a virtuoso! Will definitely be checking out more

Love is blind, as they say!
