Bong Joon Ho back in his sci-fi anticapitalist farce mode (think Snowpiercer or Okja) with a funny and well paced script, a likeable woobie main character (stupendous Pattinson) and so many references to our society that frighten (Trump included, of course).

With big influences, from Chaplin's Modern Times, to Cuarón’s Children of Men, and Pixar’s Wall-E, just a good piece of cinema, entertaining and worrying at the same time, as it should be.

A character so enigmatic that is hard to empathize with. And couldn’t not see T. Chalamet trying hard behind that nose.
Episodical, fragmented, with no clear storyline, and not that appealing to those outside the knowledge of the recent history of American music.
Great songs though. Dylan, mysterious genius.

What started interestingly, fell in the second act (by replacing the immature careless boy with the yelling Russians, for so long). Predictable, we don’t really get to know Ani, and that’s a shame. The only thing real is the last scene.

    Best picture, what?

Beautiful Nouvelle Vague style approach to millennial seek to sense of life, with a Dostoievski’s Idiot kind of protagonist
