  Concerts used to be fucking wild, man. They planned a massive free concert without a venue booked lol. Fucking idiots. Of course they couldn’t get the permits from Golden Gate Park, so this pencil thin douchebag from Altamont offered up his race track and kinda just shrugged his shoulders when asked about proper infrastructure. They didn’t need infrastructure in the 60s. They used to just play that shit where it lies.

  June Squibb is great. She didn't book her first movie role until she was 60 years old. That's an inspiration.
  The venn diagram of movies I watch and movies my parents watch has a very thin sliver in the middle, and Thelma lies comfortably within that. Right next to The Holdovers and for some reason Eyes Wide Shut.

  long live sweaty cinema

  this film has such a great cast of classic hardasses: Nick Nolte, Powers Booth, Rip Torn, Michael Ironsides. And with Walter Hill and John Milius behind the scenes, the set must have been Hardass City.

  Can't imagine being a kid on this set who needs help with his math homework. He woulda got the shit kicked out of him by 50 of the filthiest men in the industry.

  I woulda killed to be a boom operator…
