Gladiator II 2024
I heard mixed reviews going into this, so went into it with no expectations, just wanting to enjoy a movie. I loved it. The choreography, visuals and soundtrack made you feel epic and the acting and storyline fit in with the original well. I was visibly grinning at the penultimate scene with goosebumps all over. A true blockbuster.

Poor Things 2023
Completely surreal and fantastical with grounded and important themes. Emma Stone is incredible throughout, Mark Ruffalo's accent matches the bizarre vibe of the film and he does a great job of being an unlikable character. Love the style of this film most of all, it's Salvador Dalí meets Wes Anderson to me.
