    Dream Scenario

    ★★

68% - A lot of fuzzy looking cinematography with their use of grain filters make the film seem like a fuzzy dream with ethereal lighting during dream sequences to elevate this effect. Starts off strong with the concept slowly being revealed to you and the consequences that come with this seemingly harmless phenomena. The latter half of the film seems to not know what to do with the threads of the story that it's laid out. Some characters seem to…

    The Goonies

    ★★★

75% - This film is undoubtably a cult classic with such iconic characters and scenes. It starts off strong with great intros for each characters personailty quirks displayed in an interlinked opening credits sequence. Brilliant visual story telling. The acting is very cheesy throughout but lends itself to this story of adventure for kids. Very akin to indiana jones but from a kids perspective. Sean Astin carries the acting for the kids where he feels like a realistic grounded character…

    ★★

66% - This triptych surrealist story filled film is a cynical look at types of toxic obession with love. Each of the stories are vague with the goals of the characters where they are riddled with symbolism and to understand reasons for actions a deep analysis needs to be taken as nothing is surface level. A beatifully shot film with great blocking of scenes and colour choices throughout with obscene outfits for obscene people. It's less of a film and…

    The Batman

    ★★★★½

91% - One of the most visually stunning films i've ever seen. The shots are so dirty with the lens being muddied and clattered with objects. A gorgeously gritty action that humanize's the batman and makes the world of Arkham City grounded in reality without any whacky gimmicky characters. Sure the costumes are out there but it all serves a purpose. The lighting is phenomenal throughout. Almost every shot has stunning side lighting and amazing silouettes. The story aswell is filled with many gripping moments through either fight choreography or criptic foreshadowing of interconnected parties. A brilliant retelling of the batman story.
