  It isn’t a biopic, it’s Ridley Scott’s opinion on one of mightiest character of French History. Napoleon is depicted as an angry but calm person, without any charm or charisma and who’s mannerless.
  The only good aspect of the depiction is that he is a mastermind and an outstanding strategist, although his political career is completely out-shadowed.
  From a cinematic perspective some scenes are unnecessarily long, but the cinematography is perfect, and the music fits the scenes.

  What’s the point of this movie? Well, okay, good acting. And? The problem is that it ends here, good acting, that’s all there is in this movie. But for what? There is no story telling or anything it’s just us in the head of a psycho. Certain movies are useless, and in my opinion this one is on the list.

  Le film commence par une tristesse dépressive, et s’achève par la vérité qui éclate.
  Il capture des émotions, et retranscrit un paysage libanais, en guerre, qui a une petite touche de familiarité. Il ne tombe pas dans le cliché du film hollywoodien au sujet du Moyen-Orient, et sait raconter une histoire sans l’aide des stéréotypes lassants et inutiles.
