  all my favorite authors have each written something along the lines of “writers are the shittiest artists and i’m writing because that’s the only art i’m good at” and i think that’s a really important thing for them to say. Because writers who are good are ok with the shittiness and the perceived mediocrity. or at least i think they’re the best. That’s what makes their writing brilliant and true. If you see yourself like you’re some big shot savior…
