It wasn't horrible, but it definitely was an odd choice for a story. Many of the reviews I saw were complaining about how Earwig and the Witch is bad. I wonder if they know this was the final book Diana Wynne Jones began before her death and it was released posthumously. Also, from what I've heard, it also ends abruptly. It definitely could have been longer and could have ended a little differently, but it still isn't the worst movie I've ever seen.
