Director Robert Altman famously claimed the premises of this film came to him in a dream. And honestly, that couldn’t be more fitting. This has to be one of the most unsettling, ominous, understated films I’ve ever seen. For its entire duration, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. And yet, I absolutely loved it. Altman’s sheer mastery of filmmaking is on full display in this. In addition to this, I highly recommend checking out Altman’s entire filmography for this is not his only masterpiece.

I hate to say it, but in a lot of ways I feel…

    I loved this.

I’m not a big sci-fi guy, so going into this movie with zero knowledge of the story or world made me feel a little apprehensive.

I thought they did a magnificent job setting up the world and the characters. They could’ve easily rushed the movie by explaining too much too quickly, however, that simply wasn’t the case. Every passing minute I became more invested in the characters, story, and the world.

I also thought the acting was…
