  Watching this film felt like being stuck in a weird, unsettling dream—familiar but also kind of terrifying. The nightwatchman’s relationship with the mannequin made me feel a mix of pity and unease. When the mannequin comes to life, the film completely leaves reality behind, and that’s when it really got me. That break from reality felt like the most honest way to show his desperation.
