I’m still not sure what I just watched and it’s been 12 hours
As someone who grew up going to theatre camp, this was a fun lil homage to that. You think they’re just joking but that’s literally how it is. This movie made me wanna hug my mom for letting me go, then go home and sniff a freshly opened packet of Throat Coat. I wanna give this 3.75/5, it’s kinda splitting hairs, but 4 feels a bit too generous. Might watch again to reconsider.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
As much as a baby I am with horror, I actually *really* enjoyed this one. Of course, the trailer threw me off, like it did most viewers, but I was surprised and confused and on the edge of my seat the whole time. Mostly I was horrified and it felt like my jaw had dropped cartoon-style for the majority of the movie. There were some parts that I thought weren't fleshed out enough, like why introduce this part if we're not gonna add a sliver more of some story to it? Other than that, I really liked it.
I should've known something was wrong when I was obsessively rewatching this movie multiple times a week, but hey, hindsight is 2020.
