American History X 1998
A movie this brutal that not only makes you squirm, but ultimately makes you want to rewatch, is utter proof that this is almost perfect storytelling. This movie is uncomfortable to watch, but still, you can't look away. The total opposite of what I usually enjoy,but somehow goes down as one of my favorite films.

The Babadook 2014
Literally the only movie I had to fast forward through to the second half because i had already fallen asleep during 3 other attempts of viewing...and I don't fall asleep during movies. It's not a bad movie, but I feel it would've been better as a 40-50 min episode of horror/thriller series. The creepy factor is there, just not until the second half. I guess I expected more from all the wonderful reviews.
