The moment when they lock eyes in the courtroom is gonna be seared in my mind for a long time. I didn’t know Shudder hosted movies that are this good??

Way funnier than I expected - super fun to watch with a crowd. Also the complex characters with ambiguous and contradictory motivations led to interesting post-movie convo. Sean Baker’s ongoing project of showcasing marginalized/forgotten people in all their complex humanity - flaws included - is so refreshing for its authenticity. I think this is his best yet. Gonna be on my top 10 2025 for sure
