I did not understand half of what was going on. We didn't get to understand Brand enough. The whole part with Matt Damon made no sense either. However, I thought Matthew McConaughy was great and so was Jessica Chastain.

I thought that the portrayal of elton john was done fabulously. The costumes were great, music was great. The flashes between past and present were done well. I wish that they dove a bit deeper into the relationship that he had with his manager when they were an item so we could understand a bit more why it leads his life so aray.
