Fool for Love 1985
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I was lucky enough to see the 2025 Steppenwolf production of Fool for Love. Seeing Shepard’s play in such a historical venue for theater really was a joyful opportunity. But after watching this film, as well as witnessing countless renditions of scenes from this play over the years in acting class, I can confidently say that Shepard’s piece really meets its full experimental capacity on the screen.
