This whole film is amazing, I’m still thinking about it. It doesn’t matter if she did it or not, anatomy of a fall is about much more than the fall. It’s the anatomy of relationships, family, justice, and life. Sandra Huller deserves the Oscar she’s bound to receive.

Citizen Kane 1941
I’ve been spending quarantine going through the “best films of all time” lists and Citizen Kane was inevitably on there.
Normally, these older all-time greats have an element of timelessness that promotes them to that next level (12 Angry Men and Seven Samurai stick out). For me, Citizen Kane is a technical masterpiece... and only for its time. The story is decent, but the pacing made the watch-through feel like a chore. It will certainly be remembered and praised as films continue to evolve but I don’t see myself coming back to it often.
