It wasn’t a good joker movie but, by all means, neither was the first one. This is simply a more nuanced and better film. The reception of this movie was a very predictable response in retrospect. Anerican society is fascinated with ‘justified’ anarchy. Diving deeper into the tragedy of it all is of course going to be hated.

Where Prometheus and Alien: Covenant lose their footing as horror movies, they gain in making a good sci-fi duology. Understandable why it didn’t retain the same amount of love as the original but it’s an interesting and unique perspective that keeps the genre fresh. Really enjoyed them 8.5/10

Chilling, detailed, and inspired film. The writing was impeccable, the actors all put on performances worth remembering and the cinematography was stunning. Nolan delivered in a way I didn’t see coming.

“When I came to you with those calculations that we might start a chain reaction… I believe it did.”

What a film. Despite being 3 hours, I found myself wanting to watch more and more of this elegantly told story of jealousy, adoration, and genius. 

“Forgive me, majesty. I am a vulgar man! But I assure you, my music is not”
