Conclave 2024
Kept me guessing but the final twists became a bit too much. I also felt it was meant to be a commentary on the current theological crisis of identity plaguing the church. However, the movie misrepresented the whole debate. It simplified the debate by raising two extreme positions, one of complete isolation, and the other of complete modernisation. In reality these extreme positions do not hold much influence, for the most part, the debate takes place in the middle ground. For a great movie on the papacy and choosing a pope watch ‘the two popes’.
