Definitely the weakest of the Hunger Games movies so far. Still had fun, but didn’t get the impact I felt from the first 4. Had some entertaining lore though. And I did enjoy watching Coriolanus become the President Snow we all love to hate. Will need to eventually read these books.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 1966
Amazing movie! Watched this one when I was younger but barely remembered it. This is officially now one of my favorites. Almost 3 hours long, but I never felt like there was a slow down. Even the quiet moments were impactful. And Ennio Morricone’s score just brought so much energy to each scene! Love this movie now and can’t stress enough how perfect it is. Definitely makes the Dollar Trilogy one of the best available, even today.

The Substance 2024
Really bright and colorful cinematography. A very fun, albeit disgusting ride. Great for horror fans. And the performances, while holding little dialogue, were a surreal, dream-like ride. This is the bad “substance” trip you didn’t know you were waiting for.
