I already really enjoyed this movie. The political thriller set up as a religious movie? Love.
No where did I think this movie was a religious one from the trailers. I think they set it up as a political thriller from the start. But when I sat down 5 minutes before the film and saw that there were just older folk in the room (And I’m talking 50+), I truly thought I was going to have to sit through a…
That was the weirdest cuddle puddle I’ve ever seen…
Y’all, this movie was SO close to being a 5 star movie for me. That ending took me out a little bit because it felt like a little too much of a left turn and the gore went from being grounded to almost campy. Visually and audibly stunning!!
The GOODs:
- the score omfg. The main melody remains the same, but the bass behind it changes to fit the mood. Incredible: the “LALALA”s in one of the more intense parts of the film added this insanely creepy and suspenseful undertone!
- the set design and the use of COLOR. *Chef’s fucking kiss* incredible. I want to live there. Minus the bad stuff, of course.
- actually a decent story to follow! Mystery and suspense,…

A refreshing take on the “wouldn’t it be scary if this guy did this” genre.
The GOODs:
- from the creeper’s POV which is really cool
- the scary music that’s reserved for when something scary happens occurs when he’s about to get caught.
- The director really wanted us to root for this man. Similar to the show You, did it copy this?
- just insanely creepy
- this man really really knows how to make people feel awful.
The BADs:
- not the SA 😭 I thought we’d be free of it, but there we are.
- Feels like it could be incel-core
