This is one of the most gonzo blockbusters ever made: nearly every shot is a Dutch angle, the make-up and production design are faithfully Seuss-ian, the score is compelling, and Jim Carrey gives the most chaotic performance of his career . . . in a career composed entirely of chaotic performances.
This was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I think I love it even more now as an adult.
