  Much better than I thought it would be. It's too CG filled, but the physical production design that is there is phenomenal. Good performances all around. I don't love the look of the film, but Jon Chu continues to be a very solid director.

  One of the most enjoyable weekends of network TV in as long as I can remember. This, paired with the SNL50 special, were incredible. Bravo and congratulations to Lorne Michaels on a celebration well done.

  Climax 2018

  Can you admire a film and dislike it at the same time? Climax is beautifully made. Shot with a keen attention to style and direction. Filled with color, and movement, and music, and also, aimless, and wandering. Nothing much happens. The dance, they take drugs, they kill one another. I guess for some, that's enough, for me, it isn't.

  I've seen it twice and it was just as fun, maybe more, the second time. Gunn pulled a rabbit out of the hat and took little known comic characters and mined them for Marvel gold. I'll see it again on blu-ray. Excellent fun.
