  What creative genius, and from the most unlikely of places...

  What a movie, I mean, I'm head over heels in love with this. The sharp, hysterical writing paired with stunning animation unlike anything I've really ever seen before.

  To boot, the movie has a unique and amazing message, empowering the creative mind and using your imagination is your greatest ability, even when you think you have none. I'm pretty floored by this one, to be honest.

  A film perhaps heralded out of encouragement for more arts from the country of Palestine than the actual work itself. What in a trailer looked like a tense, nail-biter of a thriller set against a highly politically tumultuous backdrop, OMAR is more of a steady, narrow story, with any attempts at high drama, tension, or passion falling sadly short. There is a lot of moral and political ambiguity and depth that the film made obsolete. For all the things it has going for it on paper, the film is surprisingly vapid.
