I really liked a lot of the messages in this film, but I feel like the constant “clusterfuck stress journey” that you get in movies like Uncut Gems are just not for me. A ton of the magic of this movie is captured in the small interactions between Ani and other characters as she realizes things about herself and life, and this movie captured my attention the whole way. However, you could pretty much chalk this entire movie up to a girl coming of age and realizing that some marrying for money fairytales just don’t work out

28 Days Later 2002
Honestly really enjoyed it, and I respect this movie for what it did at the time. I can see all of the things that it inspired in later content: the twitchy movements in World War Z, the broadcast in I am Legend, the shopping scene in Zombieland, and the shitty soldiers in The Last of Us. However, it still had that early 2000s action montage with the rock music that I kinda hate, and the movie is pretty outdated at this point
