  Gripping and one-of-a-kind. A lot of ink has been spilled to say “this movie is incredible and also has an execrable and obvious political agenda.” If the author is dead, Bone Tomahawk whips ass. If not, uh, “complicated.” is Zach Maclarnon’s one scene (magnetic as usual) a cynical attempt to absolve the film of its naked racism, or real nuance?
