  a low budget goofy film in a blockbuster shell. joon-ho does significantly less when it comes on making this a film to chew on, it gives you no moments to really let you think "damn, he really did that" in comparison to earlier works, its kind of just an incredibly self sufficient, enjoyable 3/5 and a heart movie. loved zaddy pats dual performance (unsurprisingly) and kind of hated toni collette (surprisingly). yeah man i got nothing about this, its fine. i wish the clones fucked

  weird film. theres an expectation by abbasi to have a pre-conceived expectation towards trump that feels like it does most of the heavy lifting here, so it lets itself step back from being a biopic that tells a story, instead just seemingly content to just let things happen and make no attempt of actual thesis on this stage of trump’s life. it feels like if Zone of Interest was made by someone disinterested in the subject matter, where audience disconnect…

  makoto shinkai makes another vapid 120 minute film about the power of love, and the brilliance of McDonalds, except with a fucking chair as the manic pixie dream character, and an amount of scenes focusing on feet that would make Tarantino laugh. the use of a genuine tragedy like 3/11 that killed 19,000 people as a background point for a “NOW ITS TIME TO CRY SCENE” and nothing else is absolutely fucking insulting, i don’t care if the whole…
