It was okay. I expected more honestly. A lot of great action, but there were a lot of moments that I kept asking questions as to what happened to characters between each segment. I didn’t feel like it fully explored some things, but overall a good enough watch. Nothing compared to Max Mad Fury Road.
Broke my heart in a thousand pieces. Love the chronology of events. Not everything is linear, even in the flashbacks. Knowing about the director and their story confirms the ending without ever saying it, but it’s open-ended. Either way, it’s a certified tear jerker.
For me, this really hits home. The emotions that it depicts when you begin to lose something so essential to you. It’s gut wrenching, scary, and sad. You feel lost and angry and like a scared little child. This movie shows you the loneliness you feel. But it also depicts hope. In the silence there is peace to be found. The theme of self acceptance amidst things that are beyond your control are near and dear to me and speak…
This movie was…absolutely stellar. This movie is one shot. Yes, ONE, single shot. And it’s a damn ride. It’s honestly impressive. I don’t want to say too much because of spoilers, but do yourself a favor and watch it. Second French movie I’ve seen on this subject (again, no spoilers) and they do it RIGHT. Just wow. 5 ⭐️s.
