why did i wait so long to watch this when it literally has everything im into. i didnt expect this to be as romantic as it was. and yall were all talking about bones and all so much last year - that movie doesn't need to exist because this movie exists

Martin Margiela: In His Own Words 2019
they set the bar really high by interviewing margiela directly (with voice and footage of his hands). the documentary covers a lot of topics and years but doesn't go in too deeply about each. they best parts were margiela talking about his childhood interests and dreams bc of the amount of detail. i would have liked to hear more about the business side of the brand. they even gloss over many of his collections. basically i wish the documentary was longer but I understand it's hard to talk about someone's entire career in a couple hours.
