Finches is a great filmmaker and I've enjoyed every Chuck Palahniuk novel I've read, but goddamn this movie is kinda tough to watch in 2025. It's like we now see who the children of Project Mayhem grew up to be, a bunch of whiney conservatives who suck. And I totally get that Palahniuk was critiquing hyper masculinity in his book, I think maybe what I'm really cringing at is how much I used to like this movie when it came out. Still, as far as filmmaking goes, wonderfully made film. Just kinda cringe with 20/25 vision.

Erotic Ghost Story 1990
This was definitely a movie that was made loo. Honestly it wasn't bad, there were some fun parts like the sisters pranking the bandit dudes. And while it's basically just softcore porn it's the most original softcore porn I've ever seen. Cinemax should have aired it back in the 90s, it would have been a great late-night feature.

The Suicide Squad 2021
Absolutely loved this film. Probably the most "James Gunn" movie ever made. Loved the way the characters interacted with one another. Idris Elba was such a joy to watch. Some really dark DARK moments but also managed to find a heart in the story and somehow made me feel sad for a giant starfish.

Last Action Hero 1993
Really fun action flick and a good satire of 90s blockbusters. You can tell they were having a lot of fun with it. Some pretty impressive stunts too. It's too bad they didn't have more time to fine tune it (apparently it got rushed at the end so people wouldn't think there were problems with the production). And while I can kinda understand the negative reviews it got in 1993, I hope people give it a second chance.
