This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Boyhood has reminded me of my childhood in many small and subtle ways. I feel every character felt fully fleshed out, even the drunk step-dad, who started out as a strict father figure but gradually unraveled into something much worse, This you could see coming but the way it was done felt natural and real.
The mother was a trooper, you feel for her every step of the way as she holds everything together every single time the shit rolls…
