Jaws 1975
Had some people over for the 4th, threw this on the TV muted as a “Fourth of July Yule Log”.
People progressively floated over towards to the TV, like moths to a flame, and were transfixed by the film even without the sound.
Most of our friends acknowledged they either hadn’t seen the film or had last seen it when they were kids. But nevertheless, they were locked in on what was happening. It genuinely works just as well as silent film.
