  The Gorge 2025

  A wild genre blend of an action movie, sci fi adventure and mainly romance. ‘The Gorge’ has it’s flaws but the chemistry between Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy, who both had strong performances, made this a solid watch. This movie had amazing cinematography, mixing nature, fantasy and horror. Already credited Anya Taylor-Joy here but she’s seriously so good to watch in everything she does, personally hope we see her as Magik again in the MCU.

  Mickey 17 2025

  Another big hit for Bong Joon-ho, Mickey 17 is wildly ambitious but executed perfectly. It has some deep moral messages but also takes you on a really fun ride. The casting being a big reason why I loved this movie, lead by Robert Pattinson who was nothing short of incredible, seriously one of my favourite performances in a long time and I hope it’s recognised massively with next years awards. I’ll need to rewatch this to gather some clearer thoughts but for first viewing I had a great cinema experience. Shoutout Mark Ruffalo too who was brilliantly entertaining!

  For a guy that’s not usually big on musicals I can’t believe how much I ended up enjoying this movie, honestly it might make my favourites. Visually it’s stunning, the lighting, backdrops, settings and more, perfect cinematography.   I had so much fun with this movie, well written and well directed. I feel like this really shows how versatile of an actor Ryan Gosling is, having incredible performances in The Nice Guys and Blade Runner 2049 makes me appreciate how great he is.
