  They stuck the landing so perfectly with this! Such an awesome script and even better performances. All the silent pauses are so important. If you can’t find something to painfully relate to in this you haven’t lived enough yet.

  If this were a fictional story I’d have no major problems with it. The changing of historical events to better fit the filmmakers narrative is horrible. From the “just vote” liberal politics covering up the actual change these real people were vying for to the removal of the Vietnamese names from the list of the dead to the glorification of the awful prosecutor to the uplifting “and then everyone clapped” bullshit ending.

  A touching and personal story with good cinematography and fantastic performances all around. The story does have some pacing issues in its final third and goes out with more of a whimper than a bang.
