After watching this for the first time, I’ll say that my take is Die Hard is not a Christmas movie 🙅♂️
However, this was a really well done action film with a stellar premise, a main character whose fierceness is worth rooting for and a plethora of heart pounding scenes that are perfectly paced. I loved the contained setting in a building—it felt like I was there, having to survive, spy and sabotage with McClane. A movie I could see myself returning to for sure.

I found this really compelling. A well-paced sci-fi feature about migration, economic exploitation and water rights, among other important issues. Imaginative, poignant and—even despite the low budget effects—enthralling.Translated from by

This is very arguably one of the most well-executed slow burns of a social commentary that I’ve seen. Accomplishing a thoughtful exploration of revolution and its consequences within the confines of a Western—what with the genre’s typical, overused demands for shootouts, heists and a thorny lead—is truly remarkable. That being said, it takes a while to get into the thick of such commentary and much of the first hour is cinematically impressive (carefully decided close-ups, zooms, setting/wardrobe) but dull on the narrative end. A pleasure to watch and think about. My first Leone film experience.Translated from by -

Loved the nonlinear storytelling / Spent approximately 5 minutes staring up at the ceiling of AMC theaters / Why’d they bring out the children’s choir for the scene between Tashi & Patrick at the end 😭Translated from by
