Utterly forgettable trash. Almost nothing works here, aside from some solid production design and cinematography. I don’t view the original Brandon Lee film as an untouchable classic, and I believe there is potential for a fresh, updated take on James O'Barr's source material. However, it’s difficult to comprehend how this script was deemed ready for production. There are no clear rules, stakes, or tension, resulting in a lack of momentum, unsatisfying payoffs. The eye-roll-inducing setup for a sequel that will never happen is the final shit cherry on top. I want my two hours back.

Footprints on the Moon 1975

Beautifully photographed Psychological thriller from director Luigi Bazzoni (his final film). In place of the usual slasher/horror elements typically associated with Giallo is an elegant mystery that builds subtle tension throughout. Florinda Bolkan gives a strong, understated performance as Alice, but the real star here is Vittorio Storaro's gorgeous cinematography and graceful camera work.

A wonderfully wacky 70s pseudo-giallo grindhouse psychological thriller mashup, featuring one of the creepiest slasher getups of all time.
