I don’t see how this compares to Rambo. This is not war propaganda like the sequels or anti establishment like first blood. It’s quippy, it’s fast faced, it’s generic 80s action.
Not my type of film but did have some laughs. I don’t recommend because there are better and more memorable action films in this decade.
How did this spawn a sequel ?
Also the original ending would have been so poignant. Instead it feels like a forced “happy ending”.
I haven’t seen this but my sophomore English teacher directed this. He had a poster up on his wall. I always assumed it was a movie without any known actors. Fast forward 7 years and I’m watching a nightmare on elm street and realize Heather was in MY teacher’s movie.
This was my first movie theatre experience where I wasn’t immersed in the film. After a strong first minute of the film I was anticipating that this would live up and perhaps surpass its predecessor. Boy, was I wrong. The movies is repetitive and uninteresting. I was bored beyond belief only to realize the movie still had 1hr and 40 minutes left.
