  Dated for sure, but so unpredictable. It helped to be 12 when I saw this in the theater, but I watch this fondly, and recognizing the places in it that hit the mark. Silly, irreverent, and ultimately iconically studio, the movie still has a bunch of reasons to watch it, most of which Ben Stillwr honing his directing chops and Jim Carrey at the height of his powers.

  This movie wants to be Heat so bad. Flawed, and I wish it was shot on film, but I really enjoyed it. The cast is excellent, so many lines would be DOA without the charismatic performances. Mann is so watchable and he does cool in a way nobody else does. Saw a lot of Manhunter in this tbh.
