  In honor of the Oscars and Letterboxd saying that I’ve only seen three Best Picture winners, I’m going to go back and rate all the ones I’ve seen based on my (mostly shoddy) memories. This is the oldest one for me; perhaps I should watch more of them (or not). Edit: I ended up logging 36 more, for a total of 39, as of March 24, 2022.

  ★★★★½ Watched 19 Feb 2022

  Possibly (probably?)  the best 21st-century movie by one of the “big boys,” i.e., Coppola, De Palma, Lucas, Scorsese, and Spielberg. Edit: Cassie mentioned Wolf of Wall Street, which might be better than this—but also, maybe not?
