The Favourite 2018
The best plotting of Lanthimos' films I've seen so far. Emma Stone is flawless, effortlessly transforming herself from naïve scullery maid to power-hungry opportunist. Rachel Weisz is fantastic. The lack of surrealism hurts the comedy a lot. "Cunt" just isn't as funny as it would be in some of his other films.
Ending on a positive and very obvious one: Olivia Colman. That's all.
